Kim graduated from nursing school in 1998 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She then went on to complete her Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2001. Kim has had a passion for psychiatric care since college. She pursued this interest by completing her postmaster's certification from Liberty University as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in 2022. She has been an invaluable part of TMS Huntsville for three years, working alongside Dr. Hayden. Kim truly enjoys building relationships and supporting her patients through their mental health journeys, whether for maintenance or during a crisis.
Kim has worked in the outpatient setting in family practice and home health. She has worked in the inpatient setting in the hospital as a postsurgical nurse, and both inpatient and outpatient in drug rehabilitation as a psychiatric and primary care provider. She has had experience in the community clinics providing care to low income and the homeless population.
Kim is a member of the North Alabama Nurse Practitioner’s Association, has completed the course for TMS training at Pulses in Colorado Springs, and is board certified as an FNP from AANP and as a PMHNP from ANCC.
Kim has been married for 25 years to a wonderfully supportive husband and has six children. She loves to garden, enjoys running, and delights in dark chocolate and coffee.
